The CASS Research Centre recently hosted a visit from Mina Patel, Head of Research, Future of English at the British Council. The meeting featured a fruitful discussion on the ongoing EMI (English as the Medium of Instruction) project supported by the British Council, as well as potential future collaboration and training opportunities.

In particular, it was great to discuss the application of corpus methods in English Medium Education (EME) in higher education settings and how corpora and corpus tools such as #LancsBox could be used to support learning, teaching and assessment in these educational settings.
